MOO-Kleen Tire Wash
Get Washed. Your True Tire Revealed.
Some RC tire buyers treat the tire itself as an open canvas, layering on additive treatments indefinitely, chasing traction with no real endpoint. Others choose a specific tire deliberately, for its actual engineered compound and characteristics. Tire Wash works fine for the first type, but it's built specifically for the second.
Every RC tire ships coated in a mold release agent, left over from the manufacturing process, not an oversight, it protects shelf life so the tire doesn't dry out or degrade in inventory, but it also mutes the tire's actual traction and feel until removed. This is where Tire Wash first steps in, built to strip away that coating along with everyday dirt and grime, so the tire underneath can finally perform the way it was intended to.
Modern RC tires aren't just rubber, they're a rubber and chemical composite, impregnated with oils and compounds that are just as core to the tire's identity as the rubber itself. Exotic compounds tend to be highly porous, and they're constantly shedding some of those oils on their own, which is exactly why you'll sometimes see rings or stains left behind on a countertop, a mat, or a sheet of paper, ranging from pink to yellow to brown depending on the specific tire. That's not a defect, that's simply the nature of the beast for today's exotic compounds.
This is where most cleaning goes wrong. Reach for a corrosive cleaner, and it degrades the rubber itself over time, and if it also carries penetrating agents, it leaches out those impregnated oils right along with it, meaning what looks like normal wear, tearing, thinning, coming unglued, is often actually chemical damage, not just mileage. The trap is that a corrosive cleaner can even improve traction in the short term while it's quietly destroying the tire for good. Reach for something gentler instead, a non-corrosive option like dish soap, and the rubber itself is safe, but the powerful degreasing and penetrating agents that make it effective are still digging into the tire's pores and stripping those same impregnated oils out, just through a different mechanism. Almost every cleaner across almost every industry, outside of skin and body care, relies on some form of penetrating agent to actually clean. Which means nearly anything you'd normally reach for runs into one of these two problems.
Tire Wash is built different, genuinely different, in a way that solves both of those problems at once. It's 100% non-corrosive, and it carries zero penetrating agents of any kind, which is the unique part, plenty of non-corrosive cleaners still lean on penetrating agents to actually clean. Without them, Tire Wash's light, natural degreasing agents can remove surface-level oil, grease, and grime effectively without ever tunneling into the tire itself, stripping away the impregnated oils that give the compound its character. That same zero-penetrance property is also what lets its added conditioning agents work safely, since they're only acting at the surface, never drawn in deep enough to destabilize the tire over time the way a penetrating formula's conditioners could.
Because it only removes what's sitting on the surface, mold release and accumulated dirt, without ever touching what's actually built into the tire, Tire Wash doesn't change or improve the compound chemically. It reveals it. This is why a freshly washed tire can genuinely feel better than it did straight out of the package, the mold release was suppressing that performance the entire time, and Tire Wash simply gets it out of the way. One important caveat, this only holds true if the tire hasn't already been damaged by a corrosive or degrading cleaner somewhere along the way. If it has, Tire Wash won't cause that damage, but it will reveal it.
There's a real, measurable benefit here for racers dealing with tire wear specifically. Tire Wash never chemically degrades the compound the way corrosive or heavily penetrating cleaners do, and its conditioning agents are actively helping too, working safely at the surface without ever being drawn into the tire, where they'd otherwise soften it and speed up wear. Between avoiding that damage and getting genuine surface conditioning in its place, our own team has reported twenty percent or more added tire life, varying by compound and manufacturer. For plenty of racers, tires wear out within a single heat, a day, or a weekend, not over a season, and it's often those final minutes, right when everyone else's tires are giving out, that decide who holds position and who doesn't. That extra percentage of life is exactly what can keep you in it when it matters most.
How to use it:
Apply it generously, then agitate with a brush or cloth, Tire Wash carries no penetrating agents, so unlike Part and Chassis Wash, it needs a little elbow grease to back it up. That agitation is what activates the cleaning, not dwell time. There's no benefit to letting it soak or sit for long, with no penetrating agents there's nothing for extra time to draw in, so a brief moment is fine out of habit, but it's the agitation that gets Tire Wash's cleaning agents in motion. As a concentrate, it's worth trying full strength, one to one, as a first-time reference point, so you know exactly what it's capable of at full power. Most regular users land around one to three or one to four, an easy way to get there is pouring a quart into a gallon jug and topping off with water. Racers and anyone running a tire-washing station tend to go lighter still, one to six down to one to eight, since they're running through volume regularly. For a visual reference, see the dilution guide below.
A standard trigger bottle gets the job done, but a pressurized sprayer makes a real difference in how efficiently you use it, our own USB Rechargeable Sprayer works great here, or a basic ten to twenty dollar floral sprayer from the hardware store does the trick too. For a smaller job, cleaning a set or two rather than a full army of tires, the Reservoir Brush is a great option instead.
And yes, the smell is genuinely part of the appeal, the same beloved scent carried into Hide Wipes. Sealed in the bottle, it stays contained, but crack the cap and it's unmistakable, a pleasant surprise the moment you start using it.
Features:
- 100% non-corrosive and completely free of penetrating agents
- Restores a tire's true, as-intended properties rather than altering it chemically
- Also approved and safe for use as a hand cleaner
- Won't undo damage from prior harsh chemical exposure, but won't cause any either
- Racers have reported twenty percent or more added tire life with regular use
Some tips from the team:
- It's also approved and safe to use as a hand cleaner, right off the bottle, no dilution needed, handy trackside or at the bench.
- For light residue on delicate plastics, it also works well in an Ultrasonic Cleaner, a gentler, lower-risk option when Cleaner and Degreaser or Simple Sonic might not be the ideal choice.

Tire wash
Fantastic product! Makes tires look like and perform better than new. Makes crawler tires super tacky to tackle any terrain. I also use it on new tires to remove any manufacturing debris. Pretreating the tires with it also helps prevent dirt from building up, making them easier to clean after a good day of having fun.
