Ultra-Cure is Bob Smith Industries' high-performance, clear cyanoacrylate with a viscosity between Insta-Cure Super Thin and Insta-Cure+ Gap Filling Medium, purpose-built for mounting rubber tires onto RC car wheels. It comes in a 3/4oz Pocket CA bottle with a #304 Extender Tip already included on the pin-in-cap top, ready for precise application straight out of the box. While tire mounting is its specialty, Ultra-Cure will bond virtually everything, making it a solid choice any time you need something slightly thicker than a standard thin CA. It's not foam-safe, so keep it away from foam builds.
To mount a tire, unscrew the top from the nozzle, using the extender tip for finer applications. Carefully lift the sidewall of the tire after it's mounted to the wheel to expose the area to be bonded, apply a drop of Ultra-Cure into the gap, then slowly return the tire to its seated position. Continue around the full circumference of the tire, then repeat the process on the other side. Wipe the nozzle clean before replacing the screw-on top, and soak the extender tip in acetone to clean it. Refrigerate the bottle when not in use to extend its shelf life.
