Every wipe is dual-sided, and each side has a real, distinct job. A soft, delicate side handles careful cleaning and finishing work, gentle enough for Lexan bodies and anything else you're worried about scratching or marring, while a textured, abrasive side is built for real scrubbing, stubborn grease, grime, adhesives, and dirt that need more than a light wipe to shift.

Unlike the paper-based wipes you'll find at most stores, Hide Wipes are polymer-based, and it makes a real difference in how they hold up. These aren't a wipe-once-and-toss product. A single wipe can carry you through an entire wrenching session, set it down between uses and come back to it, and it's common to freshen up a full vehicle of modest size with just one. They take real scrubbing without flaking apart, you genuinely have to run one into the ground before it starts breaking down.

Fortified with the same formula as our Tire Wash, Hide Wipes carry the same anti-drying formula that keeps them from drying out the way most store-bought wipes do. In a typical shop or garage, a wipe left out on the bench can often still be used an hour or two later. That's context-dependent, out in something like the Arizona sun, that window shrinks considerably, but under normal indoor conditions, it holds up far longer than the wipes you're used to. If one does dry out, it's easy to bring back, just add a bit of Tire Wash to reconstitute it. When you're not using them for a while, keep the sealant cover that sits under the canister's lid in place, it's what keeps a full canister in good working order even if it sits on a shelf for six months or a year before you get back to it.

Hide Wipes also make short work of most tire traction compounds and tire sauces, whether you're cleaning it off the tires themselves or off your hands afterward, and they're approved as a hand cleaner, same as Tire Wash. They're especially handy for on-road tires and slicks, letting you clean right on the car without ever pulling the tires off.

And yes, the smell is genuinely part of the appeal. Carried over from Tire Wash, it's strong enough that customers have told us they hide their canister from their spouses, who'll happily steal the canister for themselves given the chance.
