IC-2000 is Bob Smith Industries' rubber-toughened cyanoacrylate, formulated for superior shock-resistant bonds on non-porous surfaces. Its black color comes from an added flexibility component that makes it ideal for bonding metals, fiberglass, rubber, carbon fiber, and other advanced materials, exactly the kind of demanding applications that have earned it real industrial trust: rubber-to-rubber bonding at Beechcraft, carbon composite bonding at Boeing, rubber door seals at Volkswagen, and speaker assembly in the audio industry, wherever a fast, durable, shock-resistant bond is non-negotiable.
For model use, IC-2000 is well suited to bonding bulkheads, formers, and servo rails to the inside of fiberglass hulls and fuselages, and it's widely considered the best adhesive available for RC car tires. It sets in 20 to 40 seconds, which can be sped up with INSTA-SET, and reaches full strength in three hours. Once cured, it stays pliable enough to carve with a hobby knife, and holds up across a temperature range of -40 to 250°F.
To apply, screw the cap onto the tube to puncture the seal, then remove the cap and apply IC-2000 to one side of the parts being joined. Hold the pieces tightly together for 10 to 25 seconds for a shock-resistant bond. For larger bonding areas, apply the CA in serpentine beads to allow it to spread. For maximum flexibility, skip the accelerator on this one. Wipe the nozzle clean before replacing the cap, and soak the top and tip in acetone for cleaning. Refrigerate the bottle when not in use to extend its shelf life.

The .5oz bottle is sized for occasional repairs and single projects. The 1oz bottle is the better value if you work with CA regularly.
