19" x 24" Screw Catcher Solder Mat

A soldering station that doubles as your whole pit surface.

Built from industrial-grade silicone molded rubber, the Screw Catcher Solder Mat gives you a dedicated, heat-resistant surface for soldering, rated to handle an iron up to 900 degrees resting right on it, and tough enough that you can melt solder, resin core included, directly on the surface with zero damage. Clean it up afterward and it looks good as new.

But soldering is really just one job this mat handles. The silicone surface is comfortable enough that plenty of people use it as their everyday work mat or hardware catcher even when there's no iron in sight, and it's non-slip on smooth surfaces, so it stays put wherever you set it down. Each size shares the same raised outer wall and hex pattern our fans know from the rest of the Screw Catcher Rubber Pit Mat lineup, keeping loose hardware from wandering off the edge, plus a built-in dual-scale ruler in both inches and centimeters, with millimeter markings on the centimeter side, for quick reference without reaching for a separate tool.

Every size carries only the Carbon Cow head graphic, not the full text logo, a deliberate choice so it doesn't compete visually when layered with a Carbon Series mat, which carries the text logo alone. And that pairing isn't just visual: each Solder Mat is sized to match its corresponding Carbon Series magnetic insert exactly, so it can drop directly into that mat's insert pocket, or sit right on top of a magnetic insert already in place there.

Some tips from the team:

• Clean these with any silicone-safe, non-corrosive cleaner. Hide Wipes and Part and Chassis Wash both work great here.
• Steer clear of corrosive cleaners. They'll dry out the silicone over time, and chemical exposure in general, even non-corrosive, can gradually discolor the surface, though everyday dirt won't.
• The 19"x24" is flexible enough to roll for travel or storage and will unroll again without issue. The two smaller sizes are compact enough that rolling isn't really necessary.

Integration Guide:

• 4" x 6" drops into the 5.5" x 8" Carbon Series Pit Mat and matches the small magnetic mat insert size.
• 9" x 12" drops into the 12" x 16" Carbon Series Pit Mat and matches that size's magnetic insert.
• 19" x 24" drops into the 24" x 30" Carbon Series Pit Mat and matches that size's magnetic insert.
