IC-LOC Red High Strength Thread Locker

IC-LOC Red is Bob Smith Industries' medium-thickness, high-strength thread locker, and it means business, this is a permanent bond. Applied to fastener threads before assembly, once IC-LOC Red cures, those fasteners are locked together for good, not meant to come apart again. Beyond preventing loosening from shock and vibration, it also seals the threads to help guard against rust and corrosion.
To apply, shake the bottle well, then apply IC-LOC Red to clean, dry threads before assembling non-plastic parts. It sets in about 10 minutes, with a full cure at 24 hours. IC-LOC Red is anaerobic, meaning it only cures in the absence of air, exactly the condition created once a bolt, screw, or nut is tightened down. Once cured, it holds its strength across a wide temperature range, from 60 below zero up to 300 degrees Fahrenheit, and actually maintains holding strength up to 490 degrees. Removing a locked fastener requires heating it to that same 490 degrees. Any leftover residue wipes away easily with a damp cloth.

A couple tips from the team: Before capping the bottle back up, wipe the tip clean and make sure it's capped tightly, a clogged or dried-out tip is the easiest way to lose a bottle before it's actually empty. And since this bond is meant to be permanent, less is more, use IC-LOC Red sparingly, since anything you apply will need serious heat to ever undo.
